PROJECT 01: WEBSITE REDESIGN PROPOSAL
Instructions
In this project, we are required to develop a comprehensive proposal for the redesign of an existing website. The proposal should demonstrate our ability to critically evaluate a website’s design and functionality, and to propose design solutions that enhance user experience, aesthetics, and performance.
Assignment Description:
We are required to select an existing website which we feel has several design and UX issues and prepare a detailed proposal for its redesign. The proposal should address the following key aspects:
Website Analysis:
Describe the intended audience for the redesigned website and how the new design will better meet their needs.
Design Proposal:
Visual Design Concepts: Present your ideas for the new visual design, including visual references, mood board and wireframes. Discuss the rationale behind your design choices.

- Current Design Evaluation:
- Provide a critique of the current design, focusing on layout, colour scheme, typography, imagery, and overall aesthetics. User Experience (UX): Assess the site’s usability, navigation, accessibility, and responsiveness. Identify pain points or areas that could be improved.
- Functionality:
- Evaluate the website’s performance, including load times, interactivity, and compatibility across different devices and browsers.
- Redesign Goals:
- Objectives: Clearly define the goals of the redesign (e.g., improved usability, modernised look, enhanced brand alignment).
Describe the intended audience for the redesigned website and how the new design will better meet their needs.
Design Proposal:
Visual Design Concepts: Present your ideas for the new visual design, including visual references, mood board and wireframes. Discuss the rationale behind your design choices.
UX Enhancements:
Propose changes to improve user experience, such as simplified navigation, better content organisation, or enhanced interactivity.
Technical Considerations: Outline any technical updates or changes, such as optimising for mobile devices or improving load times
Introduction & Proposal Making
My selected website is RJ Clinic, a certified aesthetic and skin clinic that allows clients to explore their signature surgical enhancements, non-surgical aesthetic treatments, promotion packages, locate nearby branches and gain insights into the brand’s philosophy. Clients can also book an appointment for consultation or access to treatment.

Reflection
Through the analysis and redesign proposal of the RJ Clinic website, I gained a deeper understanding of how user experience goes beyond visual aesthetics and involves usability, accessibility, and user flow. This project allowed me to critically evaluate how layout structure, typography, navigation, and interaction feedback directly affect how users perceive and interact with a medical website. I realised that even small design decisions, such as spacing, font hierarchy, and call-to-action placement, can significantly influence user confidence and decision-making.
Overall, this project strengthened my ability to analyse an existing website critically and propose meaningful UX improvements that balance user needs with business goals. It has also improved my confidence in applying UX principles to real-world design scenarios!
