FINAL PROJECT: EMBEDDED SYSTEM PROTOTYPE FOR INTERACTIVE SPACE
WEEK 06 - Exploration Stage
In week 06, Mr Nedu released the assignment brief for our final project, which required us to demonstrate the ability to build a physical prototype of our embedded system in a small printed environment. As we have gotten the hardware components and the code prepared, we started our journey exploring how to make our embedded system work by building the circuit. I was in charge of technical support while my groupmates did the decoration part.

In my opinion, I think it was a tough experience for me to make this prototype successful because it took me 6 days to figure out how to build it out. It wasn't too hard as I already knew the concept and methods of connecting each hardware component. The challenge was that I couldn't bypass the switch given by the default circuit board. The embedded system connection plan and my journey of exploration was documented below:

The day before the presentation, 3 of us met up on campus to decorate our prototype. As our theme was related to nature, my groupmates made pretty flowers by using colourful pipe cleaners. We even wrote a small note about the introduction of our immersive fragrance showcase room, to imitate real-life settings that allow visitors to understand our concept before the scent is released.
From here, I would like to thank Mr Nedu and my dearest father for providing advice and technical support that helped me to improve throughout this embedded system learning journey. Both of them have spent their time guiding me from zero to one. Besides, never forget about my groupmates Celine and Natasha, who supported me and worked hard to make this prototype successful. Although the project wasn't perfect enough, but still, our hard work has paid off!
