Week 01
In the first class, Mr. Zeon explained that the environment design module was designed to train our technical drawing skills. He encouraged us to sketch as it's a technique that expands creativity and awakens our senses towards our surroundings to achieve fast visualisation. Soon, Mr. Zeon assigned us to get pictures from Google and find out the vanishing points of the chosen buildings. This practice helped us prepare for the upcoming drawings.

Week 02
In this week, we are required to draw 8 graphics using one-point perspective. The graphics on the left will be the self-created organic forms, while we need to modify the graphics by using addition or subtraction methods and draw them on the right side of the paper. By providing us a clearer understanding of how to execute this exercise, Mr. Zeon taught us how to draw one-point perspective drawings by demonstrating on his sketchbook. As I learnt to draw perspective in my foundation studies during college, it was not hard for me to complete the task.

Week 03
After completing the one-point perspective drawings, we then proceeded to a more advanced perspective drawing practice. In this task, we are required to draw 12 boxes and create a moodboard to collect inspirations. We needed to pick the elements that we wanted from the pictures and create a new design. As I planned to gather inspiration from different architectural styles, I searched on Pinterest and Google and finally got 3 different themes for my moodboard, which were traditional, modern and ancient. After research, I observed the images and picked 1 to 2 elements that I like to recreate a new graphic to be drawn in the boxes.

After completing the 12 boxes drawing, we are required to pick 6 to further develop into one-point perspective drawings, while 6 for two-point perspective drawings. The objective of this task was to train and examine our creativity in transforming a 2D drawing into a 3D form while enhancing our perspective drawing skills practically. Mr. Zeon suggested us to keep the simple ones for two-point perspective as it's more challenging to draw complicated graphics with two points. Although I used to draw two-point perspective drawings before, it still took some time for me to complete them because I needed to think of the design for the other side while ensuring the designs looked logical.

Week 05
After completing the one-point and two-point perspective drawings, we proceeded to the next task, which was an important stage that helped in providing ideas for our final project. In this task, we are required to find at least 20 building images from movies and make an inspirational moodboard as image references. Then, we needed to draw at least 10 abstract sketches inspired by the 20 images. My inspiration moodboard images were mostly gotten from Marvel and Avatar as scientific movies have more abstract and futuristic buildings or structures that could inspire me to create innovative designs.

In this week, we continued our progress in making the abstract drawings inspired by the moodboard created. I've drawn 13 abstract drawings, which consist of 2 movie-inspired elements in each sketch.

Week 07
After drawing the sketches, we are required to pick the most satisfactory design among the 10 drawings to further refine it into a better form to be used for our final exterior building. Mr. Zeon commented on our sketches, he mentioned that my sketches were fine but he liked my 2nd and 3rd sketches on the first page as they looked special and different from common-looking buildings. He suggested me to think of how to combine the two designs into one. By taking his suggestion into consideration, I decided to set my scene at the floating cliff, while my abstract futuristic structure will be located next to it. As my sketches consist of wings and tent element, I chose to make the spiral-wing form float in the sky, while the tent form is connected to it and tied to the cliff.

Week 09
I presented my sketch to Mr. Zeon, and he recommended me to improve the drawing by adding similar elements to both structures to make them look like one while having a smooth transition that transforms from one design to another. Besides, he also suggested making the two structures to have the same visual weight and even emphasising the top structure. Therefore, I modified the sketch by adding the wing strips from the top structure to the bottom tent form while minimising the surface of the bottom site. Next, Mr. Zeon also released the next task, which required us to draw an interior drawing. The interior scene can be located anywhere special in the abstract futuristic building. Therefore, I started to sketch my initial interior design, which is located in the core of the spiral-wing form.

Week 10
This week, I showed my improved exterior drawing to Mr. Zeon and got his approval. He mentioned that everything looked good, and suggested adding some plants at the extruded facade to further beautify the overall structure and solidify the wings. Then, I added a small garden filled with greeneries at the facade that linked between two spiral-dome forms while thickening the wing strips. After finalising my exterior drawing, I used fineliner pens with different thicknesses to outline my drawing.

Week 11
I continued working on my interior drawing as I found that my perspective was a bit problematic. Due to this, I researched the shopping mall center court design to get some ideas on how to draw. As my structure looked circular, I used Sunway Pyramid as my reference as its center assembly point is rounded, which is similar to the current form of my structure. Mr. Zeon also introduced us to Photoshop and mentioned that both exterior and interior drawings needed to be scanned and imported into Photoshop for rendering. This allowed us to enhance our design by adding colours and details that make them look lively.
Week 13 to Week 15
I explored Photoshop by trying out the features and brushes in it. Mr. Zeon has shared multiple videos that guided us step-by-step to render our drawings. As I wished to showcase a drawing that performs my style, I downloaded all the brushes that Mr. Zeon shared with us and tried the brushes on an empty canvas to determine which was the best brush that fit me. Next, I also decided to redraw my interior drawing by changing the perspective from bird's eye view to worm's eye view because I found it difficult to draw the extruded facade of the interior space. After getting inspiration from the Internet, I drew the interior drawing directly in Photoshop.

Then, I started to choose the colour palette for rendering both drawings. For exterior drawing, different shades of grey, blue, brown and orange were used the most, while green and yellow were used as side colours for final touch-ups. As I used to draw digitally using other drawing software on my laptop, it's not hard for me to colour using a drawing tablet and digital brushes. However, my laptop didn't have enough memory to withstand the heavy load from Photoshop, causing my progress to turn out very slow because the screen kept on blinking. Due to this, it took a few days to be finished. After rendering, I added climbing plants on the floating cliff while putting some clouds around.

Besides, Mr. Zeon reminded us to think of a title and concept story for the two drawings while making a presentation board to showcase our final project. As the abstract futuristic structure was being connected from land to sky, I decided to name it "Aetherium", which was derived from the ancient Greek. Here are the descriptions that describe my work:
The Aetherium represents a harmonious union of nature, technology, and imagination. It is a structure that appears to defy gravity, floating gracefully in the air, while seamlessly connecting the land below and the sky above.
The Aetherium has been merged seamlessly with the natural world while symbolizing the infinite possibilities of the future.
It’s more than just a futuristic building as it has become the bridge that connects humans to the nature and cosmic world. The spiritual sanctuary always welcome people to dream, explore and find harmony in a space where gravity can be dissolved.
